WHAT APPLICATIONS CAN YOU USE A MIG WELDER FOR?

A MIG welder is used on a variety of applications that involve sheet or heavy-duty metal materials. Although it can't be used to weld outdoors, you can use a MIG welding machine on automotive parts or home improvement projects. That's why mechanics may have a MIG welder as well as a TIG welder for certain tasks. You can also use a MIG welding machine when working with pressure vessels.

I am very Suprised how well this little welder works have used 1/8 and 3/32 rods both and work and weld very well im a beginner and have no problem getting it to arc

I bought this welder to do some repairs on a skid plate bracket on one of our vehicles. Welded 1/8" thick flat bar reinforcements on some formed square tube brackets. I was skeptical of how it would perform, being that this welder is very small and light. I'm still not sure how you can possibly get 200a of current through an electrode from a normal 110v wall socket? However, I purchased some E7018 and E6011 (3/32" size for both). I'm happy to report that the E6011 rod worked well, and had plenty of penetration and a good controllable arc puddle. Even being a very out-of-practice welding tech (I haven't welded anything in about a decade) I was able to get results that matched/exceeded the factory welds on the part I was repairing!

I work as a welder and use high quality machines, now that being said I really enjoy this little welder I've only used it with 110 and It easily penetrates 1/8 in steel at 18 volts using the mig function now the machine will go higher with 220 power but I have not had time to try that out just yet. I did run the machine for about 4 hours 2 days in a row and didnt seem to hiccup at all.
